Summit Rework systems have long been regarded as the workhorse for Surface Mount Rework and the standard by which others are measured. Now, the Versa captures the long-proven Summit rework capability in a new, flexible and versatile platform.

Available configurations include automatic loading and unloading to allow operation with minimum intervention. The Summit Versa system may be coupled, in-line with other systems to provide site dressing (scavenging, solder dispense, fluxing).
Additional heads may be utilized to perform sequential operations without subjecting the board to multiple temperature excursions.

Industry demand for massive assemblies creates a new set of challenges, particularly the ability to rework heavy boards populated with large components.

The Summit LX rework station has been developed to process these assemblies and incorporates both the required mechanical characteristics and increases thermal and optical performance.

An enhanced board holder and X-Y table accommodate boards up to 24" x 36" (610 x 914mm) with top and bottom side clearances of 3.5" and 2.0" (89 and 51mm) respectively. A choice of top heaters up to 2.4kW are paired with an 8.0kW Plenum Hot Gas Bottom heater providing even heating for the largest assemblies. The Summit LX rework station's optical system provides a 3.2" (80mm) square field of view to deal with very large area array components and high pin-count sockets.

Incorporating all the Summit Series' proven features - such as SierraMate^TM software,1-2-3-GO, and Auto Profile - the Summit LX is designed specifically to meet the large assembly challenge.
