Summit 2200 Rework System

The Summit 2200 is a fully automated and programmable rework system. It is the latest in a series of systems equipped with a programmable motorized X-Y table, Top Heater height, Pick-up tube , and component Theta.

The motorization allows for the fully automatic scavenging of rework sites. After the removal of a component, the scavenging tool executes a preprogrammed "scan" of the footprint for residual solder removal in a safe, non-contact procedure.

Full automation permits the user to program a complete rework operation compromising Solder Removal, Scavenge and Place/Release/Reflow, with seamless transition from one sequence to the next. In addition to its "hands-off" operation, the rework system combines all sequences into one thermal cycle. This eliminates the need for attractive time savings and thermal stability benefits.
